If you are going to be at SLCH tomorrow you can buy the Sensicare at the Outpatient Pharmacy (just go to the window and tell them you want to purchase tubes of Sensicare, if the tech looks at you stupid tell her to ask Sara Shaver, she's one of the pharmacists, I buy buy multiple tubes at at ime) or you can google Sensicare and find several web sites to order it on you have to pay shipping, which can get expensive).

You caould also try giving her Gatorade is has electrolytes in it that will help adjust her BUN and keep her hydrated. Megan liked the purple frost kind (it taste pretty good).

I know you have had a rough month. Give Gillian a little time and she will be doing much better. Megan was so little after transplant she couldn't tell us when she was feeling bad. Her body language gave her away. Now that she can tell me I still know what signs to look for. Hope labs go well for Gillian today.

So glad to hear that she is doing better. We had to get a new computer and I have been waiting for it to get set up so that I could check in on everyone and try and remember all the sites. I am horrible about remembering site addresses because I add everything to my favorites. Hope you all have a great week!

Is there any reason why they won't send you the stuff to have your local lab draw the tacro and mail it to St.Louis? That is what we do. Dr. Beck and Grace gave me all the stuff that is needed and I just give it to the tech. Just a suggestion in case it helps you out. If it is weekly then they might get the results faster. I don't know. Take care!

Happy New Year!!! I want you to know that all of the immunosupressant meds can cause diarrhea. And if she is receiving supplemental Magnesium, it will be even worse. Major got a first degree burn on his bottom from all the diarrhea. His stools are still loose 6 months out but not causing burns anymore. I just had to face the fact that this may be the new normal for poop for awhile. Hang in there.

PS call COTA and have them change your status from waiting to transplanted.. Little Miss. Gillian earned it.

Glad you got out of the house. It probably helped you and Gillian. Nothing like a little retail therapy! LOL Hope the days ahead improve.. one day at a time.

I used to think it was funny - people would ask me if Bryce was sick or got immunizations that day all the time when we were out in public with the mask on. We just stopped wearing mask in public at Christmas time. They don't expect the response - no he just had a kidney transplant and they preceed to stick their foot in their mouth as their jaw drops. Continue to hope Gillian does well and you stay out of the hospital for a while. Take Care!

Gillian you have a big beautiful smile with Grandma sitting next to you. Hope you start feeling better soon. At least they figured out what you have and were able to get control of it. They are pretty good about that kind of stuff at SLCH. They have saved Megan's life a couple of times now too.
