Gillian at Recital
Gillian getting her flowers from mommy and daddy at her ballet recital!
Friday June 12th, 2009
Gillian is doing great. We had her doctors appt in St. Louis Yesterday. Her labs came back fine. Creatinine was .4 and her BUN was 24. Her prograf level was 5 which they told me they originally wanted it between 6 and 8, but they told me she is doing so well they don't want to change anything. The big news is she is down another med. they took her off the acyclovir (viral drug)which means she is only on 3 meds. She will be on these 3 the rest of her life.
Mike and I bought Gillian a little swimming pool a few days ago. Of course it hasn't been very warm since. It's driving Gillian crazy because she wants to get in so bad. The water is just to cold still!
Gillian has her ballet recital tonight. She can't wait for that either. I think it's just because she gets to wear red lipstick. LOL I am hoping she doesn't get to scared up there. She has never been on stage before in front of so many people. She had her stage rehersal which went well, but the theatre wasn't full.
I also forgot to mention Gillian is still growing like crazy. She is now 28.1 pounds and 37 inches tall. That's a big difference from 6 months ago!
I will try to get pictures up soon. I have lost the attachment to my camera and went to best buy to get a new one. Of course they do not carry it because you have to special order the Fuji camera pieces!
June 4th
Not much to report. Gillian's 4th birthday was yesterday, but we celebrated it on Saturday. She is definanltly spoiled. She got pretty much everything she wanted (minus the things that were way to old for her). She was going around telling everyone yesterday that she is now 4 years old! :)
I thought we had an appt in St. Louis today but I was a week off. I was confused because that would make us a little over 2 weeks without lab work if we didn't go until next Thursday. I called and they assured me it was right and everthing will be ok! I am sure Gillian loves going 2 weeks without labs!
As for Gillian she has been doing wonderful. She's eating like crazy. We were at my sisters house over the weekend and she asked me if she ever stops eating. I never thought I would hear that. She is finally growing in heigth and weight although she still doesn't look like a 4 year old. LOL
Our new house is great. Gillian loves the neighbors cat. He's an outside cat, but he like's to come in and play with Gillian. I only allow him in the Garage or in the kitchen with the hard wood floors. No carpet for the outside cat! Gillian went to visit Otis (the dog we bought her that didn't work out) he's lives with a friend of mine now. She loves to visit him, but he wasn't the right dog for us. After having just for a weekend I am not sure any dog will be right for us. Maybe after we have the baby in November we will think about a cat. They are alot more independent.
I will update after her next appt.
May 25th
Gillian had lab work done last week and it turned out ok. I tried to get her to drink on her own again and her BUN was up a bit. On a good note she is taking her meds by mouth now! Which means we are talking about taking out her G-tube at her next apt. I like the idea of not having it but it also makes me nervous. It's nice having it there for fluids because as we all know she doesn't drink as much as she needs yet.
We went camping this weekend and Gillian had a great time visiting all her cousins. She went fishing with grandpa Bob and cought all kinds of blue gill all by herself. She would cast and reel them in all on her own. She was so proud of herself!
Gillian also has a 4th birthday coming up on June 3rd. She is ready and her list keeps getting longer and longer. Everytime a commercial comes on TV she tells me she wants it. LOL She's showing her true age! I will try to post a picture with her and fish soon. It's not the best picture because she didn't want to pose, but it shows her fish!
